We have to remember that the barium peroxide is mainly used to produce hydrogen peroxide by reaction of barium peroxide with sulphuric acid. We can write the chemical equation for this hydrogen peroxide preparation as, BaO2+H2SO4→H2O2+BaSO4.
In this above reaction, barium sulphate is recovered as precipitate. We have to remember that the barium peroxide is mainly used to produce hydrogen peroxide by reaction of barium peroxide with sulphuric acid. We can write the chemical equation for this hydrogen peroxide preparation as,

Industrial applications for barium include acting as a "getter," or unwanted gas remover. In its elemental form, barium is a soft, silvery-gray metal.

Barium peroxide is the inorganic compound with the formula BaO2. This white solid (gray when impure) is one of the most common inorganic peroxides.
