RXSOL Antiscalant and Dispersant is a broad spectrum, liquid antiscalant and dispersant that is compatible with organic coagulants and effective at low dose rates. This multicomponent formulation is targeted at preventing scale precipitation in larger systems and is particularly cost effective in seawater and municipal reverse osmosis (RO) applications. RXSOL Antiscalant and Dispersant is compatible with our line of Ro coagulants and certified by NSF International under NSF/ANSI Standard 60 for use in systems producing drinking water.
RXSOL Antiscalant and Dispersant Removes salt and other minerals from saline water, like seawater, to produce fresh water.
This advanced antiscalant combines new-technology-polymer proprietory ingredients for broad-spectrum scale control. The synergistic formulation effectively prevents deposition of calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate, and other sparingly soluble salts. Polyacrylate provides strong crystal distortion and dispersion, while HEDP enhances threshold inhibition and chelation. Designed for RO, NF, and industrial water systems, it minimizes fouling and maintains long-term membrane performance.
RXSOL Antiscalant and Dispersant is a broad-spectrum, liquid scale inhibitor and dispersant formulated for high-performance in large-scale reverse osmosis (RO) systems. It is highly effective even at low dose rates and is fully compatible with organic coagulants.
Specially engineered for seawater and municipal RO applications, RXSOL Antiscalant efficiently prevents scale formation and fouling — including in systems with elevated levels of iron, calcium, and organic matter. Its stable liquid formulation ensures easy dosing and consistent protection across a wide range of water qualities.
Injecting:
Best results are achieved when RXSOL Antiscalant and Dispersant is injected upstream of the membrane system and, where possible, of cartridge filters.
Dosing:
A typical RXSOL Antiscalant and Dispersant dose ranges from 2-5 mg/l. A site-specific dose can be determined using the Avista Advisor software program.
Dilution:
RXSOL Antiscalant and Dispersant is formulated to be injected neat. However, if dilution is required, use deionized water or RO permeate. If neither of these is available, softened water may be substituted. The dilution for RXSOL Antiscalant and Dispersant should not result in a solution strength of less than 10%. This guideline will protect the effectiveness of the internal bacteriostat, which inhibits bacterial growth in the product packaging and feed tank.
